After the death of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili in 735 AH. / 1335 AD., his mausoleum was developed by his son and his successor, Sheikh Sadr al-Din Musa, and later expanded, especially during the reign of Safavid Shah Tahmasb I and Shah Abbas I. The hymn of "Allah Allah" is the most remarkable hymns in the tower of the mausoleum of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili, so that it is often referred to as the "Dome of Allah". This hymn is one of the most famous Safavid hymns which have cantillated by their devotees, mostly Qizilbashs, throughout the period of Sheikhs and Sultans and also after that era. The hymn of “Allah Allah” still used in Alavid societies of Anatolia, Rumili and Balkan which are the heir of Safavid Sufism and the last survivors of Qizilbash creed. The aim of this research is to study the reflection of aforementioned hymn in the Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili’s tomb tower architecture and some contemporary and similar sample while discussing its usage amongst devotees of this dynasty in the past and present.
