تحلیل سخنان امام حسین (ع) از مدینه تا مکه، بر پایهی نظریهی کنشهای گفتاری جان سرل
Abstract:   (3114 Views)
Imam Hussein (pbuh) movement has played a very fundamental role in modeling the ideology and behavior of Shiites and various analyzes have been made of it. Nevertheless, it seems that the use of linguistic theories can open new horizons in the historical analysis of this socio-religious movement. This article analyzes the words of Imam Hussein (pbuh) in the first step of ‘Ashura from Medina to Mecca, based on John Sirel's Theory of Speech Acts (1999) in five groups of representative, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative. The theory of speech acts in the field of discourse analysis emphasizes the function of language and considers speech as an action. By applying this theory, while examining the linguistic layers of a work, the hidden features and angles of the text can be examined and revealed. This research shows that the representative action in the words of Imam (pbuh) are more than other actions and he has expressed them in phrases with the intention of introducing himself, expressing his conditions and intention. Directive, commissive and declarative actions are used with significantly less difference than representative actions. In the words of Imam (pbuh) there is no encouragement to accompany others with him and he does not even seek to invite secretly or motivate people to support him. Examining the situational texture and the verbal actions of these words show that Hussein (pbuh) at this stage of his movement does not intend to move or organize to take over the government and his function was reactionary, not an action.
